Snaps for Judson

Judson's second grade class has memorized a poem a week for the whole school year. His teacher sends the poems home on Monday and each kid recites it from memory on Friday. It's been fun. The class had a poetry reading today where each child took one of those poems and recited it for parents/friends. Here is Judson's poem. I have included the text below. All the poems were cute and fun like his. Snaps for Judson!!

Gravity
by Londis Carpenter

If gravity were turned around
We'd all fall up instead of down.
If I fell up I'd laugh out loud
To bump my head into a cloud.
There'd be no skinned elbows or knees,
Picking up clothes or raking leaves.
And planes would need more sky to share
For cars would soar into the air.
I probably would never cry
If I slipped and fell up in the sky.
But how would we stay on the ground
If gravity was turned around?

April/May Olsen Update

During conference we each pick a word per talk that we are listening for and whenever it is said you can have a piece of candy. It makes everyone listen. Awesome when you pick just the right word.
Easter selfie
For my birthday Kevin made me breakfast in bed and then after I taught water aerobics we went to taco Tuesday.
All I asked for was the oatmeal cake and my car detailed. My birthday was coming to a close and neither thing was being done so while I had to run an errand Zack made my cake for me. Then went out and wiped and vacuumed most of the car. He was so sweet.
Elder Fowler served in our ward and at the end of his mission his dad flew out from New Mexico and he was able to baptize his dad in boston. It was awesome to be able to drive down and witness the miracle.
Carley is becoming quite the volleyball player. This is her starting a jump float serve.so much fun.
Kevin and I went down the Washington DC to watch Natalie's We The People competition. We celebrated his birthday at our favorite restaurant PF Chang's. It was just 3 blocks from our hotel. So amazing!
Natalie did an amazing job during her comp. she was 1 of 2 juniors on the team and she actually was 1 of 3 that was on 2 units. Twice the work. She really is incredible at anything she does.
Kev and I ran from out hotel in Arlington, VA across the river to DC. It was the highlight of our trip. 10 miles total. So much fun.
Okay so I lied...listening to Natalie sing the National Anthem for 3000 people was pretty amazing!!! She again was incredible.
When we flew back from DC we met one of our favorite missionaries and his new wife, Matt and Danielle Okleberry at the Quincy Market and at lunch. It was great to see him and meet her. Cute couple.
We had so much fun at the Res Sox game with G&G Stokes. It was perfect weather. We also took a duck tour all day. I love Boston!
I love this pic!
We had a Meet the Mormons movie night. We ended up inviting 48 people not of our faith to attend. We had about 10% come. It was an amazing experience. I love this movie.
Spring finally arrived and we were able to just enjoy a Sunday afternoon in Peterborough.
Best Mother's Day gift ever!!! Brooke is going through hard times, but she is really learning a lot about herself and her faith. She is another amazing individual.
Carley is really doing a great job with piano. Her recital was pretty special.
Kevin took me out to dinner at the Waterfront in Peterborough. The food there is so pretty and so yummy. Notice the purple cauliflower.
Natalie did her first Ragnar Race and ran leg 12. Her total miles were 17.9 and she ran 9.6 miles her last leg to finish. She again was amazing!
Zack decided to play baseball this year just to fill time. He is playing with a good group of boys. It has been fun to watch him. He plays left field.
Zack was chosen as one of the 2 freshmen to be in Mr. MHS. There were also 2 sophomores, 3 juniors and 3 seniors. He took third place behind a senior and a junior. His talent was The 6 min. Evolution of Dance sped up to 3 min.
I was so proud of him for putting in for this. He is getting a lot more confident. It is nice to see.
Natalie has a good friend named Conner that asked her to sing in his band. She sang the most amazing song I have ever heard her sing. Again...AMAZING!
Afterward I took Zack and Carley to Chipotle. They were a little creepy.
Brooke is feeling a little better.
I got to go the Souhegan's Senior Athletic banquet and the athletic director made me cry by announcing the I would be leaving them and moving to Utah. It is bittersweet...but so much more sweet.
Zack has a soccer tournament this weekend and has won his first game. The team is so fun to watch. The older they get the more intense it gets.

This month has been so busy with so many different things. We had to use every extra second to get our house ready to go on the market. It is now on the market and we are headed in the right direction. I am so excited for this next stage of our lives.

Amelia's Dance Video

She is the cutest dancer. It was so fun to go to the recital and just see her so big sitting in her assigned seat in the auditorium and switching out her shoes between performances and she is growing up people!

Ruby and the Walker

She loves this walker toy. She's so little and cute!!

Ruby Blew Kisses

Today when I was dropping off Ruby at Mom's she blew kisses. Not really on command, but we both saw it. I think she also waved and said "hi" to grandpa. She's getting so big. She is 1 year old in less than six weeks.
.
Ruby run/crawls as fast as she can everywhere she goes and she always has somewhere she needs to go. She walks around all the furniture and looks like she may just let go one day and walk on her own. She's a mover, never sits still. Sacrament meeting is a workout for Darren and I. Ruby is so cute and sweet, though. Always smiling. I love it that when I walk into the room she always has a smile for me. It is sometimes even a scrunched up face, super smile. She has 5 teeth. Three on top and two on the bottom.
.
Ruby is a fantastic eater. We're starting her on PB and J sandwiches and she even ate half of a grilled cheese sandwich last night. If she sees anyone with anything that looks like food she's over to them in a second begging for them to share.
.
She loves, loves outside. This has been the norm since birth. I've always been able to calm her fussiness down by just walking outside. She loves being in the stroller and going on our walks with us.
.
We just love our little Ruby. She's growing so fast, but I'm really trying to enjoy every moment, even the frustrating ones with her as a baby. I know she'll be grown up before I know it.
